The Overseas Military Baby Blankets Project is a national DAR program which has contributed over 12,000 baby blankets since its inception in 2022. The Morristown Chapter began participating last year and contributed 43 baby blankets to:
– Landstuhl, Germany, for distribution to the new parent classes in Ramstein Air Base and other bases in the Landstuhl area.
– Black Sea Air Base in Romania.
– U.S. Army base in Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy.
– Stuttgart, Germany US Army Post
Morristown Chapter DAR members welcomed new citizens at the Naturalization Ceremony at The Morristown National Park, Washington”s Headquarters Museum.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) rings bells on Constitution Day to recreate the historic moment on September 17, 1787, when church bells across Philadelphia rang out as delegates emerged from Independence Hall after signing the U.S. Constitution.
In celebration of Constitution Week the Morristown Chapter DAR created beautiful displays at the Morris County, Morris Plains, Denville and Randolph libraries.
The Morristown Chapter DAR inducted our first new member of the 2026-27 DAR year at our first chapter in September!
The Morristown Chapter DAR’s Flag Committee Chair brought the Star Spangled Flag to our first Chapter meeting. This 15-star, 15-stripe flag flew over Fort McHenry in 1814, which inspired Francis Scott Key to write the national anthem.
Sal Palazzolo from 99.9 “The Hawk” radio spoke at our September Chapter meeting about the history and importance of the radio in US history. We presented The Hawk with with an “Award of Patriotism” and a flag for playing The National Anthem every day at Noon.
Morristown Chapter DAR partnered with the 10th Annual Morristown Festival of Books
Our two November guest speakers came in period appropriate clothing as bateau owners that ferried Revolutionary soldiers, cannons, ammunition and horses across the Delaware River for the Battle of Trenton.

The Morristown Chapter provided Braille flags to the entire graduating class of The Seeing Eye on June 9, 2026. This is the second year we have partnered with The Seeing Eye to provide these flags.
The Morristown Chapter DAR Flag Committee created these displays in local libraries. Displays were in Bridgewater, Denville, Harding, Morris Plains, Morristown and Randolph New Jersey libraries.
The Morristown chapter DAR has marked the country’s 250th anniversary by purchasing these Revolutionary War veterans banners which are all hung around The Morristown Green. These banners were sponsored by our Chapter members who are descendants of these local 18th-century patriots.
