Students are invited to participate in our 2025-2026 DAR essay contests.
These contests are open to students in public, private, and parochial schools, and registered home-study programs. Each year, a selected topic for use during the academic year is announced, and contest instructions are published online and sent to schools by participating DAR chapters. Essays are judged for historical accuracy, adherence to the topic, organization of materials, interest, originality, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and neatness.
The Town of Morristown is partnering with American Legion Post 59, Morristown Rotary International, the Morristown Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Morristown Partnership to recognize, honor and pay tribute to our local veterans and service members through the Mo-Town Heroes Program.
